To find profiles and other information about a company, such as its history, product lines, customer base, key suppliers, management team, strategy, and competitors, use the following resources.

Keep in mind additional information can be found in the company's 10-K, the annual report all US public companies have to file with the SEC.

• Business Source Premier

  This database is a great place to go when you can't find what you want in pre-packaged reports and profiles.
  1. Search for your company in the top search box. For a more specific search, type in the official company name exactly, and change the drop-down menu to CO Company Entity
  2. To the left of the results, use the Source Types section to locate specific sources. I recommend looking at SWOT Analysis, Trade Publications, Magazines, and Company Reports. 
  3. Add additional words in the second and third search box to narrow your search further. I.e. "supply chain" or "suppliers."

  Formerly Lexis-Nexis Academic, it contains company profiles and articles. 
  Company Dossier/Profiles and more
  1. On the homepage, under Discover topics select Business
  2. Select Company Dossier. Search for the company by name or ticker. 
  3. Select the correct company, and once in the dossier, navigate throughout using the menu on the left.
