MyEBSCO allows you to use personalized features like:
Creating a MyEBSCO Account
1. Click on the MyEBSCO link at the top right corner of the screen.
2. Fill in the fields or use your BC Gmail credentials to login using Google by clicking the "Continue with Google" button. The Google login option is recommended.
3. Click create account.
4. When you return to EBSCO use these credentials to login for later research sessions.
Once you are logged in to your MyEBSCO account you will have access to a variety of helpful research tools.
Under My Dashboard you can access:
1. Projects: View all projects and all access the articles you have sorted into those folders
2. Saved: View all saved records and searches that was not added to a project
3. Recent activity: View your recent search history and a list of records you have recently viewed
4. Holds & checkouts: View any eBooks that you have on hold or checked out
5. Alerts: View and edit all journal alerts and search alerts that you have set
How to Create a New Project
1. Under My dashboard click "Projects."
2. In the upper-right hand corner of the page, click on the blue plus sign.
3. Fill in the fields.
4. Click the "Create" button.
How to Add Item to Project
1. Once you've located an item that you want to add to a project, click on the three dots menu to the right of the article title.
2. Select the "Add to project" option.
4. Select the desired project from the dropdown menu.
5. Click the "Add now" button.
Create a Journal Alert
To create an email alert when a new issue of particular journal is added to EBSCOhost databases you must be signed into your EBSCO account.
1. Once you are signed in, navigate to the Advanced Search page and click on the Publications tab below the search bars.
2. Search for a specific journal by Title in the Browse Publications field. When you find it click on the title, or "View details" link to see more information about the journal.
3. From there, click on the menu in the upper right corner of the record, represented by three dots. Then hit the "Create Alert" option.
5. Fill out the "Create Alert" form with your preferences and click "Create alert" in the bottom right of the screen. You will receive personalized alerts when new issues become available in the database.
