Zotero

Using Zotero on your phone or tablet

Using a mobile version of Zotero.org allows you to save items from your mobile device's internet browser directly to your Zotero account. There is not an official Zotero app, but there are some third party options.

Browzine menu optionsBrowZine, the app for personalized scholarly journal browsing, reading, and monitoring, allows you to export articles from your BrowZine Library to your Zotero Library. Most online journals offered by the UNC Libraries are available in BrowZine, so this is one way to save citations for future reading or research. BrowZine works on both iOS and Android devices.

If you are already using Browzine to find new research and want to save the citations and PDFs outside of the Browzine app,  you can easily do so by clicking on the menu button and selecting Send to Zotero.

When you send citations from BrowZine to Zotero, they will be added to your Zotero unfiled folder and you will then need to move them in Zotero to the collection you would like them in.

The Zotero website provides a full list of recommended iOS and Android apps that allow you to view your Zotero library, save citations to your Zotero library, and provide various other, basic Zotero functionalities.
