You can find full text a variety of ways through PubMed. Default searches look for all articles, regardless of whether or not full text is available.
You can limit to full text (free or all; more on "all" later) like this:
Here's a citation with free full text; note you have 2 places you can go to find the full text (icons on the top right side of the screenshot):
If you limit to Full Text, you'll also see links (usually to publishers' websites) that may provide full text for a fee.
For example, here's an icon linking to a publisher's website:
You'll also find links from Wiley, Elsevier, and other scholarly publishers. Clicking on the link will typically take you t the abstract for the article AND THIS:
Don't buy the article! Use Bethel's interlibrary loan service to request the article (for free!):
Finally, you may see a link that looks like this:
Clicking on this will take you to full text provided by the library's subscription to EBSCOhost. It will
--link you to free full text on the web (just like PubMed)
--link you to additionally text provided exclusively to EBSCOhost customers; you may be able to find full text for free through EBSCO that PubMed publishers will make you pay for.
PubMed contains links to many publishers who charge for full-text. If you find yourself looking at an article that will cost you money or an article with no full-text available, we will be able to order it for you by contacting other libraries and asking them to email us electronic copies.
When an article arrives for you from interlibrary loan, you'll get an email from "interlib@bethelks.edu."
